Background:

These are the support characters. The ones that sit quietly on the side lines, then make the story come alive.

Louis

One of the back stories was Colley's involvement with the "other side of town". This evolved into another weeks discussion on questions like "If she works the streets, does she work alone or for a manager?"
We decided that she would work for someone, so we needed character that no one would like. How could I create the kind of character that on sight, would make peoples stomach turn?
I brought up my trusty DAZ Studio and opened the Michael model. Michael's not so bad looking, so he first needed skin.
I tried a few skins until I found one I liked.
This guy needs to look tough. After the skin, I turned a few dials then created the face, and give him the kind of eyes that look right through you. Next was hair. He needed a haircut that screamed "I have money", and I'm "greasy".
As I created him, it was a love hate task. After I was finished, I showed him to a few people who said they'd not want to meet him in a dark alley. I had my man!

Jake Jr. alias Porkchop

Every kid and some adults know a Porkchop!
Porkchop was created about the same time Larry & Daryl were created because he was going to be a big part of their story.
I envisioned a dysfunctional family with a mom that was a little weird, and a dad that sat all day and watched television, and a kid that could run around and get into everything, and his parents would say "not my kid".

Yes, I grew up with several kids like him, but what's a good name I could use for a little chunky kid that looks like you want to smack him upside the head just for his looks?
Just then, my Wife yelled down to me that dinner is ready and the porkchops are getting cold. That's it! What kind of father would refer to his kid as Porkchop? Jake the dad is that kind of father. We are in the middle of creating characters to be Porkchop's friends. The kind of kids that would put rocks on the train tracks. The kind of kids who would smear poop on the outside of people's front door knobs, then turn out the light. (Like my gang did)
This is going to get good, but remember, there is a lesson to every story.

Vera

Vera is Jake's wife and Porkchop's mom.

I needed a character that could evolve, so I created her as a normal character.
We have not figured out what is to be done with her yet, but we will.

Jake

I finished Jake a few weeks back.

Kat

Kat is The Cat!

All I'm going to tell you is that cat is playing a huge part the story later on.

Ever had a cat? Nuff said.
I truly think God has a sense of humor because I've never seen a more entertaining animal.

I used to sit and watch mine, and when he wasn't sleeping, he'd have an agenda for the day. Always something different.
I wished he could talk.
